Muddled is a literate, realistic rpg focusing on the struggles of a single gray wolf pack, with everything from natural disasters and famine to human intervention, as well as the lives of dogs from the nearby human dwellings. We endeavor to avoid the bland plot of good versus evil among characters. No character here is ever purely virtuous nor sinister at heart. Instead, you will find that the lines between good and evil have become muddled.

The Pack Lands
[ ]Barado Mountains
To the North of the pack lands, the Barado mountain range stretches for over a hundred miles and forms the Northern border for the territory. Most sections of the slopes are covered with trees, but the higher regions are mostly bare. bighorn sheep, deer, pika and other rodent relatives are abundant here. But where there is prey, there are other predators lurking, too. Cougars and bears are competition for the pack here. Young and inexperienced wolves should not come here alone.

[ ]Xandarin River
This river composes the Western border of the pack lands and most of the Southern border, since it winds East after traveling South for so many miles. The current varies depending on the location in which one is attempting to cross. Pups must be cautious or they could get swept away by the stronger currents. Most of the shallower, safer places to cross are in the Northern section. This river provides plenty of fresh water for the pack and it never threatens to run dry in the summer. Sections may freeze in the winter, creating ice bridges.

[ ]Abandoned Shack
On the Eastern edge of the Emerald forest, not far from the start of the ranch territory but still on pack territory, there lies an abandoned one-story shack. The dilapidated structure is made out of wood, which means it will not withstand the weather more than a few more years. There are holes in the roof and several windows are broken. The back door has fallen in, allowing for easy access. Not much remains inside except some moldy furniture and the rodents and bugs that now call the shack their home.

[ ]Emerald Forest
This vast, mostly coniferous forest covers much of the central pack lands, stretching from the river in the West all the way to the forbidden human lands in the East. It even extends to the mountain range in the North. Not only does it shelter the wolves but also the various animals that sustain the wolves all year long.

[ ]Oak Tree Den
Located at the base of a massive oak tree, under and between its vast root system, is one of the dens used for birthing by the pack. Space is limited in this den for the mother and her newborns, but the entrance is well-hidden from the elements and from predators. If she chooses to put up with the low ceiling and cramped conditions, she will not have to worry much about a bear or cougar wondering in. Another positive feature is that the den is less than a mile from the Laksha meadow.

[ ]The Crows' Tree
The Crows' Tree is an enormous oak tree, settled in the middle of the Emerald Forest. It is rumored to be dating back over 500 years and still stands tall. Its circumference is massive, reaching over 7 meters in width and the inside of the tree is completely hollow. A dark, gaping hole. This can be a pups' favorite playground, or their most treacherous nightmare. For sometimes the fear of the unknown can play tricks with an animal's mind. Often times, mass flocks of crows gather on the decaying limbs of the tree, where they caw and whisper rumors about the forest. Hence, the trees name. The tree itself is an eerie tree. Alluring and captivating, yet at the same time spine-chilling and unnerving. Will you listen to what the crows have to say...?

[ ]Laksha Meadow
This meadow is located near the very center of the pack lands. The grassy area is surrounded by many white rose bushes, hence the name. The sweet smell of the flowers can calm and relax any wolf. This place is one of the more popular rendezvous sites for young pups in the summer. Because of its central location, the pups are usually safe from predators and strange wolves.
00
[ ]Sweetwater Creek Den
This birthing den is located in the northwestern region of the pack lands, only about fifteen miles from the border created by the river. The den is situated within the side of a hill not far from a small creek. While the entrance to the den is more noticeable than that of the Oak Tree den, there is much more room for the mother and her newborns. The main drawback is that the den is near the border and more attention is required to prevent predators from getting too close.
00
[ ]Painted Meadow
The Painted Meadow is not far from the Sweetwater Creek den. It gets its name from the brilliant flowers that bloom here in the Spring and most of the Summer. This meadow is surrounded by dense forest that can provide shelter for young wolves when they need it. However, the meadow is not too far from the border of the pack lands, the threat of enemy wolves is present, as well as the usual predators that might come after unprotected wolf pups.
215
[ ]Pond
Not far from the Sweetwater Creek den, there is a small pond surrounded by trees and dense foliage. At the very center, the pond is only two feet deep. In late Summer, it often comes close to drying up completely. A few small fish to live in the water. Turtles and frogs are also common sights. Once pups are a couple of months old, they like to splash in the water here and chase the frogs and turtles.
00
[ ]South Plains
This vast plain is covered with grass and very few trees, making it difficult to find cover during hunting expeditions. In some areas, the grass may grow high enough to hide a few wolves. Deer and rabbits are common, and elk herds often pass through this land, especially during the fall and winter months.
00
[ ]South Lake
When the Xandarin River turns east, it forms a medium-sized lake at the very bottom of the pack territory near the South Plains. A wolf could swim across the lake if needed, but it would take several minutes. Deer and the elk that visit the South Plains often come here to drink from the lake. Since much of the shore line is covered with trees, shrubs, and tall grass, there are several spots that would be useful in ambushing prey. However, in the past, the occasional human has come here to fish from the bank so wolves must remain on guard.
